Pinterest Inspired: Back to School Treats

Here's another Pinterest Inspired idea... I'm going to give these to my students for our meet and greet in two weeks.

A while back I purchased some 1in by 8in clear cellophane baggies that had adhesive to close them. I filled them with plain M&Ms. I cut a tag using my Circut Expression and Plantain Schoolbook Cart at 2 inches on red cardstock and attached them to the M&M Sticks using some yellow ribbon. I used MyPinkStamper's *I Heart School* from her School Days stamp collection to decorate the tag. Very cute and very cheap!

What do you give your students?

Cricut Creations

So I purchased a Cricut Expression over a year at Walmart on clearence. Best decision I ever made. I need to do more documenting of the things I make, so I can refer back to them. I mainly make cards, but I also make treat bags, bulletin board punch outs and anything else I can think of that my Cricut can cut. Here are some of my February creations.

I used the Create a Critter Cricut Cart and then I use My Pink Stamper Punny Stamps: Bee-u-tiful, Puppy Love, Sweet Chick, Bear Hugs, Bananas 4 You. I'm giving them to my students for Valentine's Day. All the inside says is Happy Valentine's Day, Love Ms. Winston.

These are my Angry Bird Treat Boxes, I used the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cupcake and Cake Slice Holders as well as the Cricut Classic Font for all the features. My students saw one last week and they all want one. This will probably my end of the year gift for them.

Meet and Greet

So it's been a week since Irene hit Richmond and there are still people without electricity. We had an abbreviated teacher work week, we had to cram 5 days worth of meetings, professional development and classroom pret into 3 days. I will be going in on Labor Day to do lesson plans. I met 16 of my 26 third graders on Friday and this is what I had waiting for them.

Magic Confetti
I got this idea from Ms. Fiorini of Second Grade Locker Room . I have several versions on my classroom website.
This year I decided to make a card for the confetti. I used my Cricut Expressions Create a Critter cartridge to cut out a bookworm and apple. I used My Pink Stamper School Days  'Welcome Back' Stamp, blank cards, poems, small craft ziploc bags and hollywood confetti to match my theme, bought it from Oriental Trading.

 Thanks for Poppin in!
Pretty self explanatory. I created a 2x4 label with Thistlegirl Movie graphics and I stuck it to a bag of popcorn.
